2006 was a year of rapid land sale activity in the Chandler Airpark. With a slowing economy and with most developers now holding land positions, the theme has turned to construction. In 2007 there were approximately eight speculative office and industrial projects (Figure 1) that either broke ground or completed construction for a total of 1.11 million square feet, in addition to the Covance facility, which has 281,000 square feet under construction.
